I'm def. picking up the isolation vibe. I was always intrigued by Nighthawks when, I was little. I really like Morning Sunlight..even though it makes me feel sad.

i esp like his Cape Cod paintings b/c i've spent so much time on the cape while growing up, it's sort of a feeling of being alone and being statisfied in that

it also reminds me of when i first moved to london and didn't know anyone there and had to spend a lot of time by myself

I know. His images make me feel uneasy. He does have a great technique but not my fave.

Nighthawks is famous and plagiarized all the time. But I'm not that familiar with the rest of Hopper's work. It's a definite style and of a time, I'd say.
