Craig has this first one framed in his apartment.. I fell in with it at the National Gallery and we got it together.

Ah YEA, one of my favorite psycho artists!!! I love the rhythm and motion in his brush strokes. It's as if he was listening to music as he painted.

He's one of my absolute favs too. The brush strokes, depth, and color are just amazing.

Monet was great at that too, I think tehres one called Sunflowers and the picnic one thay I love so much

Yayi you're right about troubled artists.. the same goes for any kind of creative outlet a lot of times.. Hemmingway was a total nutjob and his writing is absolutely amazing.

Three of my favorites of his was

Wheatfield with crows.. the crows are so evil and ominous in that painting.. like he was in the depths of a geat depression and they were symbolic of that and

Tree trunks.. I loved how he captures being under the trees with the sunlight filtering through on the ground.

and Cypress Tree.. I love his uses of cypress trees in his art.

Oh me too.. I wish I could frame most of these! My mom used to paint a lot (she's awesome at it..) and she did his self portrait.. I'll have to try to get a pic of it when I'm in London, its amazing.

Hahahah Yayi.. my mom and sister are the artists of the family and I'm the writer. And since you torment me daily now maybe my skills will improve

Actually my mom writes too she's already published a couple books and she's working on more right now

Hahah Yayi I have a collection of journals full of poetry but they're all in London. I used to trade writing with some of my friends in Poland whilst getting bombed though so I have a bunch saved on my comp as well

I wish I could touch one of his pictures. The texture alone makes him my favorite artist. He did one of cherry blossoms, it's just beautiful.

I love Starlight over the Rhone... It is amazing. I love when dark paints have a small amount of bright colour to make the painting seem like it is being light up!
